Tetracycline.

Tetracycline is taken by patients diagnosed with Lyme disease, acne, infection of genital and urinary systems, Helicobacter pylori, respiratory tract infections, or other infections of skin. Its effects are based on affecting the activity of bacteria in the body letting your immune system get things under control. In case you are taking iron products, antacids, calcium supplements, or laxatives containing magnesium make sure at least 2 hours pass between the two products to make sure tetracycline is efficient and no interactions occur. Let your doctor know if you are taking any drugs that may affect the success of your treatment because of interactions. The follow medications need to be reported: antacids, minerals, isotretinoin, blood thinners, penicillin antibiotics, tretinoin, and cholesterol-lowering medications. Report any of the following serious side effects to your health care provider right away: dark-colored urine, vomiting, difficulty breathing, itching, jaundice, stomach pain, loss of appetite, hives, upset stomach, severe headache, fever or chills, blurred vision, or skin rash, as they can indicate your treatment is not going quite as planned and a dose adjustment may be necessary.
